Well Prepped Life — Service
A Chef That Comes to Your House
You are not looking for a cooking class. You are not looking for a meal kit. You want someone to actually come to your house and cook, a real professional who understands what your parent needs, knows how to work within their dietary restrictions, and will show up reliably every week so you do not have to worry about whether there is food in the house. Well Prepped Life is exactly that. Founder Justine Sanidad, a ServSafe-certified chef based in Mountain View, built this service for seniors and disabled adults in the Bay Area who need professional cooking help in their own home. We come to you, cook in your kitchen, and leave a week of real, fresh, medically appropriate meals ready to eat.
What a Chef Coming to Your House Actually Does
A Well Prepped Life chef arrives with a custom menu planned in advance around your health conditions, dietary restrictions, and food preferences. We spend three to four hours cooking in your kitchen, with your dishes, using your stove. Output is 10 to 14 portioned single servings, five lunches, five dinners, and breakfast or snack items as needed. Every container is labeled with the dish name, the date, and reheat instructions in large, easy-to-read type. The kitchen is reset before we leave, counters wiped, sink empty. You did not have to shop, plan, chop, cook, or clean. You opened the door and, three to four hours later, your fridge is stocked for the week.
How the First Visit Works
We start with a free 30-minute consultation at your home, not a phone script. We ask about diagnoses, current medications that affect diet, favorite foods, foods you refuse, and what a typical week of eating actually looks like right now. Family members can join in person or by phone if they live elsewhere. From that conversation, we design your first week's menu. The first cook visit itself follows the same rhythm as every visit after it: we shop that morning (or the day before, depending on the route), arrive with our own knives and thermometer, cook for three to four hours, and leave with the fridge organized and labeled. Most new clients can be scheduled within one to two weeks; faster if the need is urgent, such as a hospital discharge.
Medical Diets We Cook For
This is not generic senior cooking. We routinely build menus around Type 2 diabetes and low-glycemic eating, heart failure and hypertension with a specific sodium ceiling, chronic kidney disease with sodium, potassium, and phosphorus controls, dysphagia with IDDSI-graded soft or pureed textures, celiac and other allergen restrictions, and post-surgical recovery diets built around higher protein targets for healing. If your cardiologist, nephrologist, or dietitian has given you specific numbers, we build the week's menu around those numbers rather than a vague label like "low-sodium." We also cook culturally specific menus, including Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, and Italian-American cooking, inside whatever medical restrictions apply.
Why a Chef at Your House Beats the Alternatives
Meal-kit and commissary delivery services ship food from a central kitchen days before it reaches you, which means the texture and sodium level are fixed at the point of packaging, not tuned to your week. Home-care agency aides can reheat a meal during a shift that is mostly companionship or personal care, but scratch cooking from real ingredients is rarely part of that work. A chef who comes to your house cooks fresh, adjusts the following week's menu based on how you actually ate, and gets to know your specific preferences and restrictions over time. That is the difference between food that is technically compliant with a diet and food you actually look forward to eating.
What It Costs
Three weekly tiers, plus groceries at cost. The $349 tier covers one weekly visit, one diet, and 10 portioned servings, and fits most single-senior households. The $549 tier covers one visit with a wider menu built for two overlapping diets in the same household, such as a couple where one person needs low-sodium and the other needs a soft-mechanical texture. The $849 tier covers two visits per week and is what most families use during the four to eight weeks after a hospital discharge, before stepping back down to weekly. There is no long-term contract. See the [pricing page](/pricing) for the full breakdown of what each tier includes.

What clients are saying
“After my dad's stroke, I was flying in from Denver every few weeks trying to figure out meals. He needs soft foods now and he's diabetic. I had no idea who to trust or where to start. I found Justine after weeks of dead ends. She came to the house for a consultation first, which immediately put my dad at ease. After every single visit she sends me a quick note: what she cooked, how he seemed, anything she noticed. He's been eating better than he has in years, and for the first time since his diagnosis I'm not panicking every time I board a plane home. I finally feel like he's taken care of.”
“Great- very adaptable!”
