Personal Chef for Seniors and Disabled Adults in San Jose

Well Prepped Life — Service

Personal Chef for Seniors and Disabled Adults in San Jose

San Jose's senior population is one of the most medically and culturally diverse in the Bay Area, and the need for truly personalized in-home cooking reflects that. Well Prepped Life provides personal chef services for seniors and disabled adults throughout San Jose — coming directly to your home, cooking in your kitchen, and preparing a full week of meals tailored to your health conditions, dietary requirements, and food preferences. Founder Justine Sanidad is a ServSafe-certified chef with deep experience in medical nutrition and adaptive cooking. We serve neighborhoods across San Jose from Willow Glen to Almaden Valley, from Berryessa to Cambrian Park, and we understand the cultural diversity of San Jose's communities — including the Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, Mexican, and South Asian communities that make this city what it is.

What a Personal Chef Session Includes in San Jose

Before your session, we plan a custom menu based on your health conditions, any dietary guidelines from your physician or dietitian, and the foods you genuinely enjoy eating. On session day, your chef arrives at your San Jose home and spends three to four hours cooking seven to ten complete meals. Every dish is portioned into individual containers, labeled with the name and reheating instructions, and organized in your refrigerator and freezer. The kitchen is cleaned when we leave. You have a full week of real, fresh, home-cooked food without spending hours in the kitchen yourself. We handle every dietary accommodation: diabetic-friendly, low-sodium, renal diet, soft and pureed textures, gluten-free, allergen-free, and culturally specific recipes across a range of traditions.

San Jose Neighborhoods We Serve

We serve clients throughout San Jose, including Willow Glen, Almaden Valley, Blossom Hill, Cambrian Park, Evergreen, Berryessa, East San Jose, Japantown, Rose Garden, Silver Creek, Santana Row area, Silvery Moon, Communications Hill, and South San Jose. We are familiar with the residential neighborhoods, senior apartment complexes, and independent living communities across the city. If you are a senior living near Guadalupe River Park, the Japanese American Museum of San Jose, or one of the city's many cultural senior centers, we can get to you.

Medical Conditions and Dietary Needs

San Jose seniors we serve regularly manage Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke recovery, arthritis, cancer recovery, and post-surgical nutrition needs. We prepare meals within renal diet guidelines — careful attention to potassium, phosphorus, and protein levels. We cook soft and pureed meals for clients with dysphagia, low-glycemic meals for diabetic clients, and low-sodium meals for those with cardiac conditions. Cultural dietary preferences — Vietnamese pho-style soups adapted for low-sodium, Filipino arroz caldo adjusted for renal guidelines, and more — are something we handle with care and respect.
